Eco-friendly sandwich baggies

A trip to the grocery store costs more than ever, and most of us are looking for places to cut back.
Well, what about those pricey plastic sandwich bags? A Massachusetts woman is making it possible for us to never buy one again.
You make the sandwich, slide it into a plastic bag, and into the lunchbox it goes right? Wrong. In a small Plainfield workshop, an alternative has been developed.
“They took them to summer camp and the counselors wanted them so I thought, well maybe I’ll try to sell them,” says Erin.
What they are, are Happy Sacks, Erin’s idea to combat wastefulness. They house food like any other sandwich bag, but these don’t head to the landfill after they’re used.
If it’s really gross you can soak it, you can wash it in the dishwasher, and you can put them in the washer/dryer.
Erin started the project 4 years ago, and the originals are still in use. It started out as just a few bags for her kids to bring to school. But in the past years, things have changed quite a bit and demand is rising steadily.
We were completely swamped to the extent that I thought “wow I could actually go out of business” because it was so demanding.
A way to save a little green turned into a booming business riding the green wave. Nearly 300 Happy Sacks are now sold each day in retail stores across the country, in patterns for boys and girls alike.

Where will I find these eco-sandwich bags to purchase. My granddaughter has a litter free lunch in her school once a week. We are always trying ways to use reusable items in her lunch box. I hate using plastic bags. I saw an article once with these reusable, washable bags and it interested me. Please. If you have any information you could send so I could purchase this product, it would be greatly appreciated.
